MKM Museum Küppersmühle
The MKM is a striking piece of industrial history from the 19th century. As part of the international construction exhibition at Emscher Park (1989–1999), this former industrial wasteland was transformed into a multifunctional service area by the water, featuring office and residential space, restaurants as well as cultural and leisure offerings. The Küppersmühle building became the Museum of Modern Art – Küppersmühle MKM.
